Growing in Faith, Growing in Christ features a Student-Home Website with videos, songs, bible stories, prayers, interactive activities and more! All designed for students and families to explore their faith together.

All of the schools in the Edmonton Catholic School District use a Religious Education Program that is prescribed by our Alberta Bishops and provided through the National Office for Religious Education in Ottawa. The Program ranges from Kindergarten to Grade Twelve, and offers students with an overview of our Catholic faith as well as grade specific themes.

Masses and Celebrations
We celebrate important liturgical dates throughout our school year. Masses take place at St. Joseph's Basilica and celebrations take place at school. Every year we begin the liturgical school year with a "teaching mass" for all of our students. By having our students participate in a teaching mass, they come to better understand the significance of each part of the mass.

Sacramental Preparation
Holy Child is pleased to work in partnership with St Joseph's Basilica to support parents and children in preparing for the Sacraments of First Reconciliation and First Communion. Information on the Sacramental sessions offered at St Joseph's Basilica can be found on St. Joseph's Basilica website and linked below for your convenience. Information regarding sacramental preparation will also be sent home with your child.
