Welcome to School Council Corner!
At École/Escuela Holy Child, we recognize that parental involvement is closely linked to increased student performance and that collaboration between parents and school increases school effectiveness.
The École/Escuela Holy Child SAC is active and is an integral part of the school's culture.
Ecole/Escuela Holy Child has an active School Council. Our mission is to support our school community and provide a voice for our families. Our parent-led School Council, through Holy Child Fundraising Association (our fundraising society), has given many funds to the School in 2024-2025 to assist with:
- offsetting field trip costs
- acquiring classroom technology
- supporting families in need
- purchasing indoor recess games
- bolstering the Gr. 6 Farewells
- special guests (dance residency)
The success of these initiatives relies on the support of Holy Child families and friends!

School Act
The current School Act provides that there be a School Advisory Council of parents which meet periodically to discuss and advise on matters related to school affairs. The SAC endeavors to foster the well-being and effectiveness of its school community and to enhance student learning. Parents are always welcome to attend meetings and to become involved in the activities of the council. These activities include both fundraising events and school community building initiatives.
